Would/Could relentless tickling be considered a form of torture?

If you say, "Excuse me!" after burping, and no one excuses you, what happens?  I mean, are you cursed or something?  Or do you just have to feel bad about being rude?  (Not that I actually feel all that bad... We all do it, for crying out loud!)

How did cottage cheese become a staple of salad bars everywhere?  Don't get me wrong; I love cottage cheese, and I'm glad it's always there.  But... it's not salad, nor is it something I've ever seen anyone put ON a salad.
